As a Specialty Site Lead, you will be accountable to the Zone Medical Executive Director and will work with local physicians to ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained by the medical staff.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure medical staff compliance with NSHA Bylaws and Rules and Regulations
* Bring forward issues and perspectives of Department Medical Staff to the Zone Executive Director and/or Zone Department Head
* Serve as Physician Lead for Emergency Preparedness activities
* Assist in managing site overcapacity issues from Department's perspective
* Ensure service continuity through Department scheduling practices
* Chair regular department meetings and attend other committee meetings as required
* Participate in monitoring of standards, quality, and utilization of resources of the Department
* Participate in clinical services planning for the Department
* Participate in respectful workplace responsibilities and recruitment/retention activities
* Participate in new hire and onboarding processes
* Lead the incident review process for the site

Eligibility:

* MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health
* Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training

Compensation and Submission:

* Annual Compensation: $5,000 - $10,000 (individual compensation will be set based on previous experience)
