Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at Western Urethane. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
Work Environment

As a Construction Helper, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often outdoors, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and potentially hazardous conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in cold or refrigerated environments, and in hot conditions.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a related field, such as construction, laboring, or a related trade.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hazardous conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
