Inovata Foods, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery, including gearboxes and other mechanical systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety and efficiency, and complete work orders according to PM schedules.
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines to ensure the highest quality products for our customers.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to maintain a clean and organized work environment, and promptly report equipment failures and breakdowns to lead hands.
- Evaluate causes for failures and/or breakdowns, and suggest preventive/corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate records.
- Journeyperson Certificate is required.
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for experience in a food processing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to communicate effectively, and strong fabrication skills/experience.
- Solid mechanical background with experience in TIG welding, electrical, boilers, and refrigeration compressors.
This position requires daily exposure to a food processing environment, which includes dampness and cold. The role may require varying start times and extended working hours, including occasional weekends, to facilitate customer presentations and production trials.
