Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to residents in a geriatric setting. This includes administering medications, documenting patient information, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician
  • Document and follow up on patient concerns and complaints
  • Promote resident self-care and self-sufficiency
  • Complete required assessments and care plans
  • Support unregulated care workers through guidance and education
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • Current Medication Administration Certificate
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration
