About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker Apprentice to join our team at Brampton Kitchen & Cabinets Ltd. As a Cabinetmaker Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced cabinetmakers in the fabrication and assembly of custom cabinets and furniture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Apply lacquer or other sealers.
  • Apply toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain desired finishes.
  • Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces.
Work Environment

As a Cabinetmaker Apprentice, you will work in a fast-paced millwork shop environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be required to work 35 hours per week in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • English language proficiency required.
