This institution operates in various sectors, including corporate and institutional services, wealth management, private banking, commercial finance, treasury operations, and retail banking.
Position Overview: We are in search of a proficient Quality Control Analyst to become a part of our client's team.
Contract Duration: 12 months
Compensation:
Independent Contractor: $53.01 per hour
Employee: $46.53 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough quality assessments on a wide array of money laundering investigation activities to support compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) regulations aimed at identifying and reporting financial crimes.
- Assess ML/TF risks by performing quality evaluations on cases and alerts as part of the oversight of the organization's AML and ATF initiatives.
- Analyze potentially suspicious account activities, recognizing and evaluating accounts and transactions, and effectively documenting recommendations for account retention or regulatory reporting.
- Provide management with trend analyses of AML/ATF findings and identify gaps for review.
- Foster a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes aligned with the organization's risk appetite.
- Navigate ambiguity and utilize judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve ongoing operational challenges.
- Assist the quality control function in developing, drafting, and maintaining written policies, procedures, and frameworks to minimize compliance breaches and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
- Prioritize and manage workload to meet service level agreement (SLA) requirements for productivity.
- Act as a project lead on various initiatives and represent the organization in meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a Quality Control Analyst.
- Background in Anti-Money Laundering.
- Investigative experience in AML.
- Familiarity with Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR).
- Experience assessing a diverse range of ML/TF risks across multiple customer and product types, with the ability to articulate findings in a summary of recommendations.
- Understanding of relevant regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA).
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
