Location: Brantford, ON

Overview:

The Welcome Center Clerk plays a vital role in the logistics process by managing the check-in and check-out of trailers and containers, overseeing shipping and receiving documentation, and ensuring secure access to the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing trailers and containers.
  • Maintain accurate records of individuals entering and exiting the yard.
  • Manage documentation related to Bills of Lading (BOLs) and inspection reports for trailers and containers.
  • Engage with drivers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for trailer and container check-ins and check-outs.
  • Collaborate with clerical and workflow personnel.
  • Respond to phone inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee access control and maintain driver logs.
  • Perform yard audits to reconcile the current yard status with WMS data.
  • Prioritize and manage a high volume of emails throughout the shift.
  • Enforce safety regulations, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, pedestrian traffic rules, and speed limits.
  • Promptly report any safety or security concerns.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
