Job Title: Cardiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at East Kootenay Hospital in Cranbrook, BC.

Job Summary

The Cardiology Technologist will perform various diagnostic cardiac procedures, including electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, and Holter monitoring. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to explain procedures to patients and answer their questions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ECG testing, stress testing, and Holter monitoring using various diagnostic cardiac equipment
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions
  • Monitor patients and scan test strips during cardiograms and stress tests
  • Scan and analyze ECG, stress, Holter, and event monitor test strips
  • Transfer and assign ECGs in ECG Cardiology Management systems for interpretation by medical staff
  • Participate in Quality Management and/or Quality Assurance programs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of a Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists recognized Diploma program in Cardiology Technology
  • Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership
