About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented ECE Assistant to join our team at Jack and Jill Preschool Association. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our childcare staff in maintaining a safe and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Housekeeping and Cooking Duties

You will assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment, including preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.

Support Childcare Staff

You will work closely with our childcare staff to ensure the smooth operation of our childcare centre, including assisting with daily routines and activities.

Knowledge of Licensing Regulations

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience in a childcare setting is an asset.

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with a non-smoking policy.

Work Setting

You will work in a childcare centre with a team of 5-10 people.

Certifications and Licenses

You will be required to hold a Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3) certification, as well as Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certifications.

Transportation and Travel

You will be required to have your own transportation.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to perform repetitive tasks, have attention to detail, and be able to combine sitting, standing, and walking.
