Senior Manager, Model Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Retail Models & Analytics team. As a critical member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced risk models that support bank-wide decision making worth billions of dollars.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain advanced risk models using predictive analytics and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Work with data governance, technology, and compliance teams to ensure effective governance, measurement, and communication of model performance.
- Conduct research on new innovative modeling methodologies, tools, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the periodic monitoring, recalibration, and maintenance of models and analytic tools.
- Identify and promote process improvements for model development, recalibration, monitoring, and daily operations.
- Strong fundamental understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques.
- 5+ years of experience in analytic roles developing and using predictive, risk, and/or forecasting models.
- Highly proficient in analytical programming languages (Python, R, SAS, etc.), SQL, and multiple environments (Unix & Windows).
- Experience with big data platforms and integration (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Avro).
- Knowledge about credit risk models and scorecards.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.
- Domain expertise with retail and small business banking products and/or risk management practices.
- Experience training and deploying machine learning models using common Python open-source frameworks (i.e., scikit-learn) and/or Python DevOps.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and PowerBI).
