Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Concrete Delivery Driver to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a Mixer Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering concrete to job sites in a timely and customer-focused manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Concrete to Job Sites: Safely transport concrete to job sites, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.
  • Work with Customers: Collaborate with customers on site to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Inspect Concrete Mix: Visually inspect the concrete mix for correct slump and constituents to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch: Work closely with dispatch to ensure the quickest and safest route to jobs, minimizing delays and optimizing delivery times.
  • Maintain Vehicle and Equipment: Ensure the vehicle is in a clean, organized, and safe condition, and perform minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections as needed.
  • Adhere to Safety Regulations: Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by site, city, provincial, federal, and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Class 1 or 3 License with Air Endorsement: Possess a valid Class 1 or 3 license with air endorsement.
  • Experience: Have at least 3 years of experience safely driving heavy trucks.
  • Good Driving Record: Maintain a good driving record, with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills when working with customers.
  • Knowledge of Transportation Regulations: Have a solid understanding of local and provincial transportation regulations and trucking routes.
  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge: Possess basic mechanical knowledge or skill for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
  • Physical Demands: Be in good physical condition, able to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
  • Availability: Be available to work six days a week (Monday – Saturday) and occasionally on Sunday, with the ability to work overtime as business and weather conditions warrant.
