Position Overview
The Carrington Group of Companies is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Assistant Site Superintendent. With over 50 years of expertise in real estate development, we are involved in various sectors including single-family homes, multi-family units, rental properties, and land development. Our work environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engage as a Project Teammate on-site, ensuring a visible and involved presence.
  • Champion the Carrington Construction Safety Program, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Assist the Site Superintendent in coordinating trade activities, overseeing the implementation of the site safety program, and managing daily tasks.
  • Conduct daily hazard assessments and support the Site Superintendent with weekly site inspections.
  • Facilitate sub-trade safety orientations and ensure all safety documentation is completed and submitted by project team members.
  • Support the Project Team in quality reviews of completed scopes and ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan.
  • Monitor the performance of all project team members to meet quality standards.
  • Participate in site meetings, mock-up reviews, and site evaluations, assisting with coordination and documentation as directed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Site Superintendent to ensure effective site operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness on the Project Site, including debris removal, garbage disposal, snow clearing, and other necessary tasks to uphold a safe and productive work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a foreman or assistant site superintendent on commercial or multi-family construction projects is essential.
  • A technical diploma in a relevant field and/or two years of field experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project is advantageous.
  • Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Gantt charts is required.
  • Knowledge of various trades involved in general construction is necessary.
  • Experience operating telehandlers, bobcats, man-lifts, and zoom-booms is required.
  • A thorough understanding of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning concepts is essential.
  • A valid Driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • First Aid, Fall Protection Training, and other safety certifications are desirable.
