Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Architect to join our team at Maarut Inc. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Azure Virtual Desktop environments based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation:

  • Design and architect Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Implement AVD environments using Terraform for IaC to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Automate deployment scaling and management of AVD resources using Terraform.

Administration and Support:

  • Provide L3 support for Azure Virtual Desktop environments including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Monitor and maintain AVD performance availability and security.
  • Optimize AVD environments for cost-effectiveness and performance.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual networks storage and identity services.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate AVD solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Terraform.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance policies for Azure environments.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for AVD deployments configurations and support procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on AVD performance usage and costs.

Qualifications:

  • AZ140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop certification.
  • Extensive experience in designing deploying and managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with experience in writing and maintaining Terraform scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services including virtual networks storage compute and identity management.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Azure CLI).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of networking security and governance in Azure environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating Terraform into DevOps workflows.
  • Familiarity with other Azure services like Azure AD Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center and Nerdio Manager.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite presence is a must.
  • This role requires on-call support and the ability to respond to critical incidents outside of normal business hours.
