About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic for Machines and Equipment to join our team at Ainsworth. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial building's mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, including water treatment programs
  • Conduct regular tours of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure, documenting actions taken
  • Prepare a daily log of activities (logbook)
  • Perform scheduled maintenance as prescribed by the client's preventive maintenance system
  • Respond to technical service calls and document interventions via the client's GMAO system
  • Make adjustments to HVAC systems as needed to improve performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic operational issues with HVAC systems
  • Perform minor repairs as required
  • Regularly check and replace filters as needed
  • Clean condensers, water towers, heat exchangers, and strainers
  • Optimize temperature settings and ensure occupant comfort
  • Supervise specialized subcontractors for preventive and corrective work
  • Maintain cleanliness of mechanical, electrical, and other work areas
  • Ensure proper functioning of control systems and contribute to the client's energy efficiency and environmental program
  • Participate in meetings with the property management team

Requirements

  • Hold a 4B Mechanic for Machines and Equipment license or higher
  • Be proficient in building management software
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
