Furniture Decorator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Decorator to join our team at Van Gogh Designs Furniture Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for decorating wood surfaces, applying finishes, and ensuring high-quality finishes on our furniture products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate finishing machines or finish furniture by hand
  • Apply lacquer or other sealers to wood surfaces
  • Decorate wood surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Clean, polish, and wax furniture to maintain its appearance
  • Sand metal furniture to prepare it for finish and spray with paint or other materials
  • Strip old finish from wood surfaces
  • Make minor repairs to furniture as needed
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Work in a fast-paced production environment with repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, and bending
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Organized and able to work in a team environment
