Job Title: Paint Kitchen Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Paint Kitchen Technician to join our team at Flex-N-Gate. As a Paint Kitchen Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our paint line operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare paint by adding solvents to raw paint and ensure proper viscosity;
  • Flush and clean paint systems to run multiple colors;
  • Receive and store paint, solvents, and supplies in a safe and organized manner;
  • Collect and dispose of reclaimed solvents and maintain accurate records;
  • Supply and maintain 26 permanent paint systems, including clear coats, adhesives, and catalysts;
  • Interchange piggable systems and perform daily viscosity checks;
  • Record paint load and purge solvent usage on daily logs;
  • Order solvents, filters, and paint kitchen supplies as needed;
  • Perform weekly system flushes and maintain lift trucks and agitators;
  • Ensure all pumps and agitators are running smoothly and safely;
  • Check paint schedules to ensure required paint is available;
  • Report any health and safety issues to supervisors and process technicians;
  • Empties all solvent drums and ensures proper labeling of pails;
Qualifications
  • Team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to lift heavy drums of paint and learn different shades of paint;
  • Good organizational and safety-conscious skills;
