Job Overview

Pipestrong Plumbing and Heating Ltd. is seeking a qualified Plumbing Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong foundation in plumbing systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications
  • Education: Must possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Experience: Willingness to train candidates with the right attitude.
Work Environment
  • Settings: Work will be conducted in various locations, including both commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to establish the layout of plumbing systems, including water supply and waste management.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices.
  • Identify and mark locations for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures.
  • Prepare openings in walls and floors for pipe installation.
  • Assemble pipes using various methods, including couplings, clamps, and welding techniques.
  • Coordinate personnel, tools, and equipment for efficient workflow.
  • Conduct tests on pipes for leaks using pressure gauges.
  • Assess piping system requirements and determine appropriate pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to meet specifications.
Apprenticeship Training
  • Completion of level four apprenticeship training is required.
Transportation Requirements
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
Physical Demands
  • This role is physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
