About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Western Fine Meats Inc. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, poultry, and fish products to meet customer demands.
  • Grind and Slice Meats: Grind meats and slice cooked meats to create a variety of products.
  • Prepare Displays: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products to showcase our products in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Shape and Package: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood to ensure they are presented in a visually appealing way.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the skills required for this position.
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, flexible, reliable, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
