A vital member of the Emergency Medical Services team, the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) is responsible for delivering immediate medical assistance to injured individuals on-site and coordinating their timely transfer to healthcare facilities when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and professional medical care to injured workers on-site, and facilitate their transfer to medical facilities as needed.

• Uphold the dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality of all clients at all times.

• Familiarize oneself with and adhere to health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

• Exercise reasonable care in utilizing safety and personal protective equipment as mandated by health and safety legislation and company protocols.

• Immediately report any incidents or hazardous conditions to supervision and management.

• Refuse to perform work if there is an imminent danger that is not adequately controlled.

• Comprehend and comply with the Medical Control Guidelines, safety policies, and job procedures established by Hines Health Services, along with relevant government laws and regulations.

• Operate within the scope of practice defined by the licensing authority and under the medical oversight of the HHS medical director, following the Medical Control Guidelines.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in a First Aid or Occupational Health environment.

• Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program.

• Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic.

• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

• Current certification in International Trauma Life Support (advanced).

• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's License (note: a valid license excludes Learner's Permit or Graduated License).

• Clean Driver's Abstract.

• Completion of site-specific orientation as required.

• Current Standard Field Level Tickets, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSTS, and Common Safety Orientation.

• ATV/Snowmobile safety training and experience is advantageous.

• Previous experience as a medic in the Industrial or Oil & Gas sector is preferred.

• Physically capable of working in adverse weather conditions.

• Willingness to work shifts, including nights.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $50.00-$58.00 per hour
