Job Title: Mechanical Design Supervisor

TDG Transit Design Group Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design process and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical design team in the development of new products and designs
  • Review and approve designs and drawings to ensure they meet company standards
  • Assign and monitor tasks within the department to ensure timely completion
  • Collaborate with the mechanical team to develop and manage project schedules and deadlines
  • Create 3D models and drawings of new components for fabrication using Solidworks
  • Develop new designs to meet and exceed customer needs based on technical requirements
Requirements and Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience with parametric modeling in CAD software, Solidworks is an asset
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC Machining, Sheet Metal, Metal & Plastic Extruding, Fabrication, and 3D printing
  • Knowledge of GD&T and basic understanding of electronics/PCBs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent capacity for synthesis analysis and innovation
Education:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design) or University degree in Mechanical Engineering
