Herschel Supply Co. is seeking a skilled Integration Developer to join our IT team. We are dedicated to developing and maintaining a comprehensive ecosystem of integrations between our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, E-commerce platform, Data warehouse, and various third-party partners. These integrations are crucial to our daily operations and success.

The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the integration development process, demonstrating expertise in various aspects of integration development and architecture. As a small but highly effective IT team, we value well-rounded individuals who can contribute across multiple areas.

A Day-in-the-Life

On a daily basis, the Integration Developer will:

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition and quality assurance (QA).
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain code and integration functions using a variety of tools, such as JavaScript / Node.js, AWS platform, various application-specific APIs, databases, data warehouses, and Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) tools.
  • Collaborate with our vendors who provide software and services.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance processes involving data flows and integrations.
  • Contribute to project groups and rollouts as needed.
  • Engage in other tasks as required, which may include implementing new software, upgrades, staff training, or other initiatives.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience working with enterprise systems and integration is essential.
  • Hands-on development experience in JavaScript, specifically leveraging the runtime environment, and utilizing APIs to develop integrations is crucial.
  • Practical database experience, including activities such as writing and optimizing queries, ETL processes, etc.
  • Experience with the AWS platform, with a focus on Lambda, CloudWatch, EventBridge, Systems Manager, and DynamoDB.
  • Familiarity with various integration methods, such as APIs (REST, GraphQL) and flat files.
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Solid understanding of integration concepts, data transformation, data security, and data synchronization techniques.
  • Experience working with a variety of business applications, including ERP, Point-of-Sale (POS), E-commerce, and an understanding of business processes.
  • Experience working on ERP integrations is mandatory.
  • Experience working on Shopify integrations is an asset.
  • Experience with ELT processes and data warehousing concepts is an asset.
  • Understanding of business analysis is an asset.
  • Possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
