About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join TE Connectivity as a Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy, where you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development. As a member of the Segment Strategy team, you will report directly to the Director of Segment Strategy and be responsible for creating shareholder value by working on key strategic initiatives across the Segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies that drive above-market organic and inorganic growth
- Manage projects to identify new growth platforms and opportunities in attractive market spaces
- Work closely with Management to prioritize cross-functional involvement and real-time input as the external environment evolves
- Lead cross-functional teams in solving business problems using a hypothesis-driven approach
- Guide and coach project team members in using a hypothesis-driven approach
- Manage projects and develop deliverables and executive presentations
- Frame discussion of findings and recommendations
- Assess organic and inorganic opportunities on multiple dimensions
- Support the strategic planning process and deepen strategic capabilities in the organization
- Drive change – designing and implementing projects to execute on strategic objectives
- Ensure that business strategies clearly articulate the business choices, are well-defined, and lay out the talent and resource requirements
- Track execution of the long-term strategy through a select set of strategy-to-execution KPIs, synthesize implications to the strategic plan and recommend potential course corrections
- Actively develop talent, providing coaching and feedback to junior members of the team
- Anticipate market changes and assess their strategic and economic impact today and in 5-10 years
- Advise the senior leadership team on selecting the most attractive opportunities and acquisition targets to strengthen product portfolio and go-to-market capabilities
Requirements
- 3 years or more of management consulting experience post graduate degree
- 2 years or more of experience working in corporate strategy for an industrial company in the automotive space (OEMs, Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers)
- Experience interfacing with executives and C-suite through effective communication of ideas and plans
- Track record of demonstrated leadership potential in a business environment
- Sense of tact, confidentiality, and maturity
- Undergraduate and graduate degrees
- Engineering degree is highly desirable
- MBA degree is highly valuable
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: CAD150,000 - CAD 200,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity
