About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Roechling Industrial Orangeville. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machine tools to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accurate production
  • Measure and lay out work pieces for assembly, using precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to understand production requirements
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance
  • Set up and adjust production machinery to meet quality and productivity standards
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality components
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
