Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the site superintendent and lead project manager to implement safety protocols and uphold documentation standards.
  • Oversees, guides, trains, and mentors the project team, including both direct and indirect reports.
  • Ensures effective communication with internal teams and subcontractors, maintaining high standards for performance, productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Works closely with the superintendent and project management team to identify and address potential issues, work disruptions, and scheduling challenges.
  • Acts as a liaison between field engineers and estimators to guarantee that construction adheres to design specifications.
  • Aids in the formulation and execution of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and assists in developing resource-loaded three-week lookahead schedules.
  • Monitors and implements the project construction plan and timeline.
  • Reviews and comprehends the contract and subcontract agreements, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintains project-related correspondence and adheres to documentation protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Possession of a Journeyman certificate or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Actively pursuing NCSO designation (IND) and enrolled in the Gold Seal program as an intern (CDN) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field engineer or field coordinator role, or as a lead hand or foreman is preferred.
  • Proven experience in supervising a construction workforce.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and operational practices, including knowledge of building materials, specifications, and methodologies.
  • Ability to understand project scope and apply fundamental engineering principles to address constructability issues.
  • Knowledge of project timelines and capability to identify critical paths.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations and practices.
  • Capability to lead and facilitate effective site meetings with clients, consultants, trades, and internal staff.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and professional judgment.
