RE/MAX Commercial Solutions, a prominent player in the property management sector, is in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Controller to enhance our financial operations. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all accounting operations, including the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
  2. Ensure the precision and punctuality of financial documentation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  3. Supervise accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  4. Prepare and evaluate financial statements and reports for management analysis.
  5. Guarantee adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including tax obligations.
  6. Collaborate with the property management division to enhance financial performance.
  7. Assist in crafting and executing financial strategies and policies.
  8. Lead and mentor accounting personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations.
  9. Manage both internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors as necessary.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred, though not mandatory.

  3. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience is required, with a preference for candidates from the real estate or property management fields.
  4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
  5. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred but not required.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  7. Ability to work autonomously and manage various priorities in a professional setting.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
