About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Companion Caregiver. As a Companion Caregiver, you will provide companionship and support to our clients in their homes, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies together.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Help clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Accompany clients on outings and provide transportation as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, including managing medications and providing basic first aid.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
