Wholesale Title Processor

About the Role:

As a Titles Clerk at OPENLANE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our wholesale title processing department. Reporting to the Titles Supervisor, you will be responsible for verifying and processing titles accurately and efficiently, following established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry and input title information into our system, verifying payment status.
  • Check vehicle titles and supporting documentation for accuracy, ensuring titles are acceptable.
  • Provide supporting documentation based on confirmations of sale for large consignors.
  • Create shipping labels, package, seal, and send titles to buyers daily via courier.
  • Ensure titles are delivered to the correct purchasing dealer and/or buyer.
  • File titles awaiting payment into a secured fireproof title cabinet.
  • Maintain all working area conditions and equipment to ensure they meet corporate standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and safety.
  • Perform other projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately distinguish between numbers, letters, and alphabetize.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must exhibit strong team player attributes with the ability to multitask and prioritize, as well as work independently.
  • Must have strong typing skills.
  • One year of experience in data entry or title work required, with automotive experience preferred.
  • General automotive knowledge an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, with some college preferred.
