Esthetics Salon Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operational flow of activities within the esthetics salon. Provide professional reception services both via phone and in-person to clients. Exhibit a polished demeanor to students at the front desk. Assist faculty with the preparation of classroom materials. Ensure adherence to departmental protocols by liaising with instructors to confirm that client appointments align with the services needed by each student. Execute marketing and promotional initiatives while effectively showcasing and promoting retail sales. Collaborate with suppliers to maintain accurate inventory levels. Ensure precise documentation of client information and records. Procure time-sensitive supplies for both retail and salon use. Manage all client transactions, record maintenance, and the remittance of salon revenues.
Essential Qualifications:
A one-year Office Administration certificate or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution, along with a Hairdressing or Esthetician certification. A minimum of three years of relevant industry experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team, manage multiple complex tasks, prioritize effectively, exercise discretion, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management abilities with proven skills in prioritization.
- Basic bookkeeping experience is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience related to Vancouver Island University.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and SuperHost certification.
