About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to join our team at Avalon College Limited o/a Avalon Career College. As an Accounting Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise a team of 11-15 individuals to ensure they understand their duties and policies.
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Coordinate and assign work to team members, providing technical advice and guidance as needed.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as required.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
