  • Effectively merchandise and promote our produce products to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend sales goals and strategies to drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to ensure that our produce department remains competitive.
  • Ensure that all produce is received, stored, and handled in a way that meets our high standards.
  • Ensure that all produce is properly rotated and displayed to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all produce displays are properly signed and priced to meet our standards.
  • Ensure that all produce is priced correctly and that our pricing integrity is maintained.
  • Take ownership of the store in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.
  • Perform any other duties as required to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and quality products.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of management experience, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience leading a produce department, preferably in a discount food store.
  • Experience working in meat, deli, and bakery departments is an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for a discount food store, including low price image.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the produce department's impact on store performance, including merchandising, inventory management, pricing, and cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people and work with minimal functional direction.
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of the produce area, operations, and products.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to the needs of the business.
