Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough structural inspections for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Design and develop equipment foundations and support structures, utilizing advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design.
- Make informed technical decisions with limited information, leveraging expertise in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam, and Renewable Energy.
- Estimate and prepare engineering proposals, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Oversee projects to ensure timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Approve and stamp project design and reports, providing peer review and guidance to junior engineers as needed.
- Represent the company and the community in presentations and meetings, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 7 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a strong background in structural design and project management.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan.
- Advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience and proficiency in SAP 2000 or similar software.
- Working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards, as well as good design practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
