About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Addiction Social Worker to join our team at PLEA Community Services Society of British Columbia. As an Addiction Social Worker, you will work with individuals and families affected by addiction, providing support and guidance to help them achieve recovery and stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with addiction issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop strategies for support
  • Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on addiction and recovery
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience working with individuals and families affected by addiction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of addiction and recovery principles and practices
