Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor

Canadian Tire Bayers Lake – Store 465 is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a high-profile and growth-oriented role in our Halifax store, where we strive for excellence in productivity, efficiency, and customer service. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be part of a constructive and goal-oriented culture that values coaching and execution of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth flow of communication during repairs or maintenance work.
  • Estimate costs and times for service and repairs, ensuring final invoices match estimates and vehicles are delivered on time.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and technicians, managing work order status and scheduling appointments.
  • Operate computerized work order systems and engage in learning activities to improve skills.
  • Share opportunities and suggestions with the Service Manager to enhance profitability and sales.
  • Comply with company, store, and department policies, as well as health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of market trends in the automotive service industry.
  • Understanding of mechanical components of automobiles.
  • Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order systems.
  • Basic math and keyboarding skills.
  • Good working knowledge of CoStar is an asset.
  • Experience in a similar role in a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre is considered an asset.
