ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The cybersecurity division at SITA is under the leadership of our approachable and pragmatic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), ensuring a supportive environment that fosters engagement and success in this vital role.

Our diverse team is structured around several core areas, including cyber threat management, incident response, product and technology security operations, project delivery, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), where this position will be situated. While much of the GRC team operates from our Montreal office, other teams are based in various global locations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

In this position, you will report directly to the CISO, facilitating clear communication and focusing on the following responsibilities:

  • Risk Transparency: Keep the CISO updated on current enterprise risks and levels of cyber debt.
  • Exception Reporting: Inform the CISO and relevant committees of any exceptions.
  • Vulnerability Debt Risk: Collaborate with risk owners to develop and implement action plans.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of risk analysts, promoting a positive work culture and driving structure in risk management operations.
  • Performance Objectives: Establish performance goals aligned with the business strategy and encourage innovative thinking.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training to enhance risk management awareness among stakeholders.
  • Tool and Dashboard Development: Assist in creating internal tools and dashboards for risk assessment to facilitate cybersecurity debt and risk reduction.
  • Budget Influence: Contribute to defining and prioritizing the IT budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Risk Management: Serve as the primary contact for tracking, reporting, managing, and escalating cybersecurity risks and exceptions.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities for data enrichment, alert creation, tuning, or automation.
  • Collaboration: Partner with peer CISO teams across Governance, Architecture, Engineering, and Operations to improve processes.
  • Responsiveness and Performance: Ensure your team effectively addresses queries related to Operational Risk Management (ORM).
  • Priority Management: Navigate conflicting priorities and execute critical paths to drive progress.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Excel in a dynamic setting that promotes career advancement in Cybersecurity and Risk Management.
  • Coverage and Staffing: While operating from the Canada EST time zone, you will collaborate with teams across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
  • Metrics and Trends: Document, track metrics, and analyze trends to mitigate recurring issues and enhance customer experience.
  • Weekly Reporting: Provide regular updates on changes in the risk database and risk register impact.
  • Combine business insight with technical expertise and risk management experience to ensure appropriate handling of cybersecurity risks.
Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

  • A university degree.
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in technology risk.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Risk Management and security governance within a large organization.
  • More than 5 years of experience directly managing staff in cyber and technology risk management.
  • At least 5 years in an Information Security role (operations).
  • Over 5 years of experience in personnel management, fostering motivation and creativity.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, ISSMP, CCSP) are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations such as PCI DSS, ISO 27000, SOC2, NIST, CIS, GDPR is essential.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity architectures, technical platforms, threat management standards, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and policies related to cybersecurity is beneficial.
