Position Overview

The role of a Laundry Worker involves essential tasks in the textile care industry, ensuring that garments and linens are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chemical Handling: Skillfully mix and apply various detergents, dyes, bleaches, and other solutions to achieve optimal cleaning results.
  • Machine Operation: Operate specialized equipment for dyeing, spraying, re-oiling, and re-buffing suede and leather items.
  • Folding and Bagging: Hand fold and package shirts, sheets, and other laundered articles with precision.
  • Ironing: Utilize hand irons to finish fine linens and delicate silk garments, ensuring a crisp and polished appearance.
  • Finishing Techniques: Operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers to finalize pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other articles.
  • Assembly: Assemble and bag completed items for distribution.
  • Touch-Up Work: Use hand-held steam irons to refine finished garments and articles.
Qualifications

Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
