Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for interior finish projects.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • On-Site Work
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Project Management
    • Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
    • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a noisy construction environment.
    • Work at various locations, including residential sites.
  • Physical Demands
    • Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
    • Work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Be accurate and detail-oriented in your work.
    • Work effectively as a team player.
    • Be punctual and reliable.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Work Experience
      • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
    • Language
