As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a team of up to 10 people, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of various materials in consultation with the Project Superintendent or Manager to plan sequencing and schedule for field installation.
- Coordinate and supervise daily activities of a team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Establish and maintain a safe work environment that complies with our Health & Safety program.
- Interact with other company supervisors, inspectors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Follow project plans and schedules, ensuring that the crew's daily and weekly activities meet production goals.
- Order equipment, materials, and workforce through dispatch for the following day's activities.
- Obtain and prepare grade sheets from construction plans.
- Work extended hours and be on-call as required for schedule or job site emergencies.
- 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- 3 years of experience as a Lead Hand or Acting Foreman.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication in a diverse work environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions using sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Competitive base salary, union rate equivalent or more depending on experience, plus overtime.
