About the Role
The Luther Court Society, in partnership with Island Health, is seeking a full or part-time Family Physician to join our interdisciplinary team at the Community Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose acute and chronic disease/illness and provide treatment and follow-up
- Prescribe and refill medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, perform minor surgical procedures
- Manage chronic disease and end of life care, and refer to specialists and specialty programs as needed
- Carry out or support preventative care through call backs, screening and risk assessments
- Contribute to population health programs by providing education to individuals, families, and communities
