About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at J and K Heating Ltd. as a key member of our design and development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Utilize your expertise in mechanical engineering to design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures that meet our company's high standards.
  • Cost Estimation and Materials Management: Accurately estimate costs and manage materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Engineering Design and Documentation: Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Contract and Tender Preparation: Prepare contracts and tenders to secure new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality standards and schedules to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Testing and Validation: Test machines and equipment to ensure they meet our quality standards and are safe for use.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and be able to lift, bend, and crouch as required.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, and have a client-focused approach.
  • Experience and Education: Possess 1-2 years of experience in a related field and a college or CEGEP education.
  • Green Job: This role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Work Schedule: Work 30-35 hours per week in a permanent position.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
