About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Grimsby Thai. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate dishwashers, deep fryers, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and recyclables, and ensure proper disposal.
  • General Kitchen Duties: Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen area.
Requirements
  • Availability: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail in a busy kitchen environment.
