About the Role

MPREX Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation.
  • Plastering: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a seamless finish.
  • Joint Filling: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Cutting and Fitting: Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Layout and Design: Prepare wall and ceiling layouts, and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Work Setting: Commercial, residential, and various locations.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
