Position Summary:

We are in search of a committed Lead Financial Strategist for our FSS FP&A team, responsible for operational expenditures (with a primary focus on SG&A, emphasizing headcount/workforce planning) budgeting, forecasting, and analytics for the designated business unit.

Ideal candidate:

  • Should possess an ownership mindset for the assigned business unit(s) operating expenses and headcount.
  • Expected to cultivate strong working relationships with business unit and finance leadership (VPs/Directors).
  • Aim to comprehend the assigned business units' operations, aspiring to become the go-to individual that business unit leaders consult for insights on headcount and SG&A line items.
  • Develop and maintain various financial models to support business unit decision-making related to headcount and SG&A.
  • Responsible for preparing periodic close files/packages.
  • Oversee workforce planning – headcount and employee cost budgeting.
  • Strive to gather and consolidate new information from diverse sources and systems to update forecasts with the goal of enhancing forecast accuracy.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities (R&O).
  • Manage annual planning processes by communicating targets, creating budgets, and professionally addressing business unit requests (bottom-up) versus corporate guidelines (top-down) while loading and reconciling data.
  • Demonstrate agility in troubleshooting issues (system, process), efficiently compiling required data/dimensions/timelines for ad hoc requests, and prioritizing business unit requests professionally.
  • Utilize data/analytics tools and techniques to effectively phase out legacy Excel-based files/reports/models.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc analytics, projects, and requests.
  • Open to learning and seeking guidance.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, and data analytics tools (intermediate-level Power BI skills, SQL is a plus).
Proficient in Microsoft Suite [Advanced Excel (power query, power pivot is a plus), proficient in PowerPoint, SharePoint & Outlook].
Experience working (user/super user) with FP&A systems – JDE, Hyperion, Workforce Planning, SmartView, Oracle EPM.

5+ years of FP&A experience.
Clear and strong understanding of financial statements and relevant accounting principles.
Experience in generating management reports and SG&A budgeting/forecasting.
