Cloud Software Architect – Wind River OpenStack

Job Summary:

Wind River Systems is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Software Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-level software architecture solutions for our OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure tailored to the Telecom core network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-level software architecture solutions for OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement cloud computing principles and specific knowledge of Telecom core networks.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers, Engineering Project Managers, Development Managers, developers, and other architects to plan ongoing feature development.
  • Work with Product Line Managers, Sales, and customer architects to determine software requirements.
  • Contribute to the open-source community with the aim of advancing the community.
  • Investigate new technologies and techniques and research ongoing industry developments.
  • Mentor senior developers in technology, industry best practices, procedures, and concepts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years experience in cloud technologies, with typically 14+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with Telecom core network protocols and standards.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and other common infrastructure management languages.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience in participating and contributing to open-source projects.
