We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to join our team at PRT. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for providing accountable leadership and proactive management of our nurseries to ensure successful execution of our strategy and operational plans.
Key Responsibilities- Safety: Foster a culture of safety and ensure nurseries follow PRT protocols and procedures.
- Quality: Ensure crops meet customer specifications and reliability, working closely with the crop team to implement best practices and expertise.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new technology or best practices across all nurseries.
- Budget: Develop and manage realistic budgets, ensuring nurseries meet or exceed financial targets.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address problems, generating root cause and corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- People Development: Develop skills and behaviors consistent with PRT competencies and strategy in nursery managers.
You will be part of a team of 5 Regional Managers, reporting to the VP Operations, West. This role will have performance accountability for our Armstrong, Juniper Beach, Coldstream, Summerland, and Skimikin BC teams.
Qualifications- A bachelor's degree or diploma in horticulture, agriculture, or forestry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of leadership experience in a multiple location oversight role.
- Strong accountable leadership skills, with ability to plan, set goals, train, and coach employees.
- Ability to analyze and think strategically, problem solve, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Must be able to travel frequently within the region and as required.
