Job Summary
Celestica is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new systems and processes to support our business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document specifications for new systems, system enhancements or interfaces.
- Work with IT and supply chain stakeholders to develop and implement programs.
- Conduct training on related processes and procedures.
- Review, recommend and implement enhancements / new systems required by business.
- Implement and ensure adherence to supply chain policies and practices.
- Initiate, develop and lead projects to control inventory and achieve inventory plan.
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes, inventory and tools.
- Strong process and application analysis, design and requirements definition.
- Good project management and leadership skills.
- Strong facilitation, teaching and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of adult education concepts and techniques.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning and manufacturing control systems.
- Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in relevant business applications.
- Good analytical and statistical skills.
- Good negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadline.
- Leads development and continuous improvements of inventory control processes.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Working Conditions
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Overnight travel may be required.
Education and Experience
- Three to six years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Materials Management, Engineering or Business), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Educational requirements may vary by geography.
