Job Summary

The Stewarding Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen facilities. This includes operating dishwashing equipment, preparing and setting up glass and silverware for banquet functions, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and cutlery according to Deerhurst Resort standards
• Operate the dish machine in a safe and efficient manner
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, storage rooms, hallways, and machines
• Conduct daily audits of the dishwashing machine and report any issues to management
• Follow all sanitation and safety protocols to ensure a clean and healthy work environment
• Monitor breakage and report any issues to management
• Participate in department meetings and training programs to stay up-to-date on best practices

Requirements

• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
