Job Title: Crisis Clinician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Clinician to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Crisis Clinician, you will provide timely professional crisis intervention services to clients, their families, and caregivers who are seeking urgent mental health services within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients, including assessment, counseling, and support
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited post-secondary education in Health-Related Social Sciences (e.g. BSW, BScMH, BScPN, BN, RPN) with a minimum of two (2) years supervised counseling experience
  • Active license and registration to practice as required by professional association and provincial legislation
  • Certificate in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST)
  • Knowledge of mental health issues, including signs and symptoms of mental illness
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity and practices of the population to be served
  • Knowledge of available resources for treatment and follow-up for mental health crisis situations
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of programs
