Job Description

Job Purpose

This role is accountable for orchestrating and overseeing the comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies of the hotel to achieve optimal occupancy levels, enhance revenue streams, and meet or surpass the hotel's financial objectives.

Main Responsibilities, among others:

Business Performance

  • Foster and maintain productive relationships with both local and international media outlets.
  • Keep updated media lists, including local and international travel, leisure, lifestyle, entertainment, business, and culinary editors.
  • Implement media placements for the hotel through press releases and personal connections.
  • Design promotional campaigns for business and leisure travel; disseminate to the press and/or target demographics.
  • Identify and pursue beneficial media trades when applicable.
  • Act as the hotel spokesperson, as designated by the General Manager, to issue official statements to the media, particularly during crisis scenarios.
  • Maintain a comprehensive photo/electronic library of the hotel’s Executive Committee and other significant aspects of the hotel.
  • Regularly update and manage the hotel's website.
  • Submit stories and photographs to media outlets consistently. Monitor news coverage and circulate findings internally.
  • Keep the hotel press kit current, including news releases, Executive Committee biographies, and photographs.
  • Establish PR & Communications initiatives that will enhance and support sales and F&B strategies and objectives.
  • Assist the Director of Sales in creating and producing sales support materials for the hotel (newsletters, brochures, promotional materials, in-room information, guides, etc.).
  • Support the Food and Beverage Manager in the development and production of signage, menus, and other collateral materials.
  • Contribute to employee newsletters, announcements, and other printed materials produced by the Talent & Culture department.
  • Review all printed materials to ensure compliance with corporate identity standards.
  • Coordinate photography of VIP guests and maintain an archive.
  • Oversee all special events and promotions aimed at maximizing publicity.
  • Assess requests for hotel donations of services or financial contributions from civil, social, and charitable organizations; respond to inquiries, coordinate reservations, and prepare gift certificates; represent the hotel in major civic or community programs.

Qualifications

Profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years in Marketing and PR management or at least 2 years in a similar role with proven success.
  • A high level of professionalism with a strong understanding of global markets and business acumen.
  • Exceptional reading, writing, and verbal proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
