About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Roofer to join our team at Flynn Canada Ltd. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems as needed.
  • Assist in instructing apprentices and providing guidance on roofing techniques and best practices.
  • Help install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors.
  • Ability to work in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
