Your Contributions
You will play a crucial role in transforming the snacking landscape. With guidance, you will manage and uphold equipment to achieve our targets related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and employee morale. You will implement all standard operational procedures on your machinery, utilizing AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and executing quality assurance tasks. You will identify and report any inefficiencies within your designated area and equipment.

Role Responsibilities
- Regularly installs necessary components for machinery operation (e.g., conveyor belts) during setup
- Inspects products and adjusts ingredients and mechanical components as needed
- Removes unwanted materials from production outputs
- Transfers and weighs production trays, ensuring they meet specified requirements
- Cleans machine components regularly
- Operates and manages various machine components
- Maintains consistent communication with fellow operators
- Assists in comprehensive line cleaning
- Monitors control systems
- Conducts quality checks on detection systems
- Ensures cleanliness in the work area
- Understands and adheres to standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Participates in and supports all safety initiatives within the manufacturing facility
- Ensures all produced items comply with quality and safety standards
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Training in GMP/Food Safety and HACCP
- Lockout/tagout training
- WHMIS certification
- Ability to lift weights up to 35 lbs.
- Capacity to follow instructions and established procedures
- Knowledge regarding ingredient adjustments
- Willingness to train as a backup operator for various technologies
Educational Background
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience and Skills
- Experience with production line machinery or food processing equipment is advantageous
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
Internal Relationships
- Regular interaction with various operational roles to fulfill responsibilities
Physical and Mental Effort
- The role requires significant physical activity, including bending, lifting, standing for extended periods, and manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail is crucial, while tasks may involve repetitive actions.
Working Environment
This position is situated within a food manufacturing facility, where exposure to noise, raw materials, and variable temperatures is typical. Personal protective equipment is mandatory, including protective footwear and hearing protection. Compliance with uniform requirements is also expected.
